Pennsylvania Workers Compensation Legal Center

PA Work Comp Death Benefits

If a worker in Pennsylvania dies because of a work-related injury or disease, the worker's family can suffer emotionally and financially. Family members who are dependent on the worker's income may receive a payment called work comp death benefits. The amount of the work comp death benefit payment depends on the relationship of the family member to the deceased worker.

Funeral Benefit

Also, if a Pennsylvania worker dies due to a work-related injury or disease, a work comp payment is given directly to the funeral director by the employer's insurance company to help pay for the cost of the funeral. The amount of the funeral payment is determined by the Workers Compensation Act.
